Several people were killed when a missile hit a residential building in Ukraine
The police say that a residential building in the center of the city of Kramatorsk was completely destroyed when the missile fell. Search and rescue efforts are underway
According to Ukrainian authorities, a Russian missile has hit a residential building in the eastern city of Kramatorsk.
At least three people were killed and 30 others injured in the missile attack, regional police said. The death toll is expected to increase.
“At least eight apartments in the building were damaged. One of them was completely destroyed,” police said in a Facebook post.
Search and rescue efforts are ongoing
The police said that search and rescue efforts are underway at the site of the building that was hit by the missile attack.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a Twitter post, “Kramatursk. Russian terrorists have attacked the city with a ballistic missile, resulting in civilian casualties. Some people are still buried under the rubble. The goal was nothing but terrorism. The only way to stop Russian terrorism is to defeat it. With tanks. With warplanes. With long-range missiles.”
In his usual nightly address, Zelenskiy said that the enemy’s operations in the eastern part of the country had increased.
President Zelenskiy said, “The aggressive actions of the occupiers on the eastern front of our country have definitely increased. The situation has become more difficult.”
He added that Russia is “trying to achieve at least something” before the one-year anniversary of the start of its military operations.
Russian withdrawal from Ukraine difficult this year, US generalm
The head of the US military has expressed doubts about the possible success in pushing the Russian troops back from the territory of Ukraine this year. Western defense allies have yet to agree on supplying powerful German battle tanks to Ukraine
Speaking to reporters after a special meeting at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Mark Milley said, “From a military point of view, I can say with certainty that this It will be very, very difficult to push Moscow’s forces out of the Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine this year.”
During a joint press conference with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, General Milley said that the US and its allies are still working to help Ukrainian forces use the weapons they have given to Ukraine for the war against Russia. A lot has to be done.
A day earlier on Thursday, the United States announced $2.5 billion in new military aid to Ukraine, including hundreds of armored vehicles and support for Ukraine’s air defense system. The package includes 59 Bradley fighting vehicles, 90 Stryker armored personnel carriers, 53 mine-resistant vehicles and 350 high-capacity multi-mission wheeled vehicles.
Disagreement over the supply of German tanks
The meeting at the Ramstein air base in Germany was the latest in a series of meetings since the start of the Russian military operation against Ukraine nearly 11 months ago. The Western Allies could not agree on the issue of providing powerful German battle tanks to Ukraine in this meeting.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who hosted the meeting, however, said that Berlin would continue to support Kiev despite not agreeing to supply Leopard two tanks to Ukraine. “Ukraine is not dependent on any single platform,” he said.
Austin added that allies have pledged to supply Ukraine with large quantities of other weapons. “We really have to focus on making sure that Ukraine gets the capability that it needs to succeed,” he said.
According to the US Secretary of Defense, “We have to do more, because Ukraine is now at a decisive stage.” The eyes of the Ukrainian people are on us, the eyes of the Kremlin and history are also on us
The European Union has a difference between German leaders regarding the provision of the Leward-to-style combat triumph on ‘Emergency Day’ day. Germany’s new defense minister Boris Pistores say, “There is a matter of decision to do all the aspects before this decision. I’m sure we’ll make a decision soon. But I do not know what this decision will be. “The leader of the German opposition party Christian Democratic Union (CDU), Rogersh Kazwariwite, talking to the DW, said,” Ukraine’s military personnel are being reduced to day, the weapons are being reduced to the day. Every passing day is very important. “The German Defense Minister added,” I understand (in this regard) is the daily day to be driving on the day of EU.
